10-12% of our population has been exposed according to antibody studies
Misc-c is categorized for anyone under the age of 21
1.2 million people in Louisiana are under the age of 21
13 cases/120,000(10% infection rate for that age) would be 1/9,000
But, we expect the infection rate to not be quite as high in children, Around 5% or so.
so 1/5,000 is estimate of cases with this syndrome

The initial NY Times article about this several weeks ago spent numerous paragraphs telling us how terrible this children's covid-adjacent disease is. In the last paragraph they told us that all of the kids had recovered, and that in most instances (even in this disease when it is unrelated to covid) they recover with no lasting issues.
