ETA: said taking a negative test to return to work is not necessary...

3 days symptom free, 10 days after you test positive should be all you need to return to work

He said to wait 3 days after you stop feeling symptoms, then 10 days after that you should be good to go, but dont go take another test

What it you're forced to take a test, test positive, have no symptoms, do you still have to wait 14 days?

What if the day you tested was the 14th day you've had it but didnt know, then the next day it's out your system and you would test positive?

There are people are sitting home for 14 days that are completly healthy and negative for COVED for no reason at all

He doesn’t want you to take another test because it will hurt his positive percentage he’s trying to jack up.

Businesses are not going to like that liability

I think it’s fricking stupid to place blame on anyone for “giving” you the virus & there is no way to prove you caught it at work but you know someone is going to sue to get a few dollars

This doesn’t make sense. It’s the same as saying wait 13 days after you stop feeling symptoms. I think you missed something, or he misspoke.

This is not correct.

It is 3 days without fever, and 10 total days from the ONSET of sypmtoms.

Per the CDC.

It is likely this. He is adding the days instead of combing them running concurrently.

That is some backwards arse "math" there.

First, why not just say 13 days after you stop feeling symptoms. If you're going with his "logic" might as well say "wait 2 days after no symptoms, then wait another day. After that wait 3 more days. Then, stay quarantined for 2 days and another 5...." WTF?

But then again, what if you tested positive without ever experiencing symptoms? Do you start counting the 1st 3 days right away?

The more it goes, the more I really think he IS Boucher's dad.

I think it's because you can still carry a slight but detectable viral load outside of 14 days but not be contagious. I mean, if he wanted to perpetuate the covid/shutdown wouldn't he be saying the opposite?

Because you can test positive 60 days after the first initial positive test.

You could be waiting a long time to go back to work.

Or he doesn’t want it to be so obvious that 93% of the test kits are Pre-loaded with a COVID positive result.

There are completely healthy Covid negative people who have been sitting around at home for much longer than that.

This pandemic is one giant circus

He wasn't referring to Chlymydia, though. Sorry, boys.

A friend of mine seemed almost angry that I told her no I wasn't getting tested when I felt a little bleh last night. She was pushing it because she saw me four days ago and wanted to know whether she should be concerned. If you are concerned for yourself and those you're around you, wouldn't be make more sense for you yourself to get tested?

Even if I got tested first thing today, my result wouldn't be ready until Sunday at the earliest (they're advertising 3 days right now). So what really would knowing my result 8 days later do for someone else who has already spent over a week around their coworkers and roommates?

And yes, like you said, the last two places I went in public were with her/our friends. So she has no way of knowing whether I caught it from her, at the place we were at, or even if I had it at that point in time.

Well LL, my reply would be "wait and see if you develop symptoms and then YOU get tested!".

My son was "exposed" at work -- had worked most of a Friday with a coworker; coworker tested positive but didn't know until the Monday. Over the weekend, son visited with us and his grandparents.

When he got the news of hte positive coworker, I asked if he had been told to get tested and my only concern was that he had been around his grandparents. He said "they can get tested if they develop symptoms".

If I start feeling bad, I'll stay home -- if I can't breathe or develop worsening symptoms, I'll go the the clinic or ER. I won't get tested "just to see" or "because I don't feel right". I often didn't feel right before all of this crap started.

it is at least 10 days from onset of symptoms and at least 72 hours asymptomatic...it must be both

Of course that does not stop a business from putting whatever return guidelines they want. If your boss tells you that you have to test negative before you can return, then you have to test negative before you return

The press conference conveniently cuts off right before Dr B says that. All the news stations aren’t showing that part of the conference. It was right at the end
