Many young people face economic insecurity due to a lack of regular employment. Lol, “ dying culture “. It’s the opposite of a dying culture, it’s an entrenched culture that values harmony over individuality. You may not like it ( having lived there I prefer America all day ) but it’s hardly dying . In fact , the 25 year economic paralysis caused by demographics is going to start looking really good to a Europe that is flooded with Muslims and an America flooded with Latinos.
As for the “ work culture “ more than “ horrifying and dumb” I’d call it a highly inefficient way to express cultural norms. First in, last out is the ideal. This comes at the expense of quality of life and efficiency that puzzles us but affirms their values.
This woman is the nail that stood out . The Japanese hammer will always pound down the nail that sticks out. If you value individuality over the group as we do , this seems crazy . But it’s the very thing that makes them Japanese. It’s an asset in a very difficult to understand, inscrutable Japanese way.

I’d much rather a shrinking population than a population growing due to third world immigrants and Muslims. I agree with that. But falling population still could be a problem, right?
I wonder why liberals don’t get pissy about the Japanese not opening their borders to the world’s refugees.
