Looking at this picture, it looks like the drivers window is up. Looks like bullet holes through the window, I'm shocked it didn't break with multiple gunshots through it? But if the window was up, it would be unlikely he was shooting his gun while driving.

I lean towards him not shooting while driving. Just seems to be too much while at the speed he was going on a narrow street. He maintained that truck on narrow Bourbon St for two and a half blocks before crashing, and at 60+mph. Don't see how one could shoot a gun and drive like that at the same time. Maybe I'm just sheltered, though.

They were on both corners of the Bourbon Orleans hotel with the hotel in the middle of them I believe. This is right on the edge of Jackson Square.

Okay, but multiple witnesses there said he was.
It's easy to randomly shoot a gun while driving fast - nobody is claiming he was trying to target-in on anyone.
shite, look how many people drive down the highway at 75+ while scrolling on a phone. It would be way easier for me to shoot a gun, instead of trying to scroll through ESPN to find scores.

That's a valid point. I haven't really heard gunshots in the videos I've seen though and I'm sure it's quite easy for witnesses to think they're hearing gunshots when a truck traveling 60+mph is hitting bodies and the ensuing panic/commotion that occurs. Fog of war, so to speak. Also, it hasn't been reported but it's quite possible cops were shooting at the truck as it was still speeding in an attempt to kill the driver.

Right. I guess I now get what Fighting Tigers is saying - that the dude didn't walk toward Canal far enough to see the crane when planting them.
Thing illustrates an example of the city's ineptitude (having the stupid crane still sitting in the middle of Bourbon Street on NYE) possibly making this deal not as bad as it very well could have been, while still arguably allowing it to happen in the first place.

Two people were treated at University for gunshots from the attack besides the officers. This info comes directly from a trauma nurse who was working on New Years Day.

According to my people, it looked like he started losing control of the truck after he hit the guy on the old-people scooter, and then crashed into the crane.
No one has said anything to me about him firing as he was driving. The only gunfire I have heard confirmation of was after the crash and engaged the police. I'm not saying that he wasn't firing as he was driving, but none of the witnesses I've talked said that they heard/saw that.

So after the crash, was he only shooting at police? I figured those with gunshot wounds were shot after the crash.

This one in particular really hits me in the gut. Poor girl got slammed directly just as she realizes she needs to run. She ran straight down the road instead of to the side like her friends. If she had run to the side, she'd still be alive today but in the moment how was she supposed to know that? I think this was the nursing student.
