Ironically BREC just finished upgrading their park on Gardere.

Must be nice to have a Brec park nearby.
I live in a nice and large neighborhood in Baton Rouge and there isn't a Brec park in the vicinity of me. i guess since we are all rich we are supposed to build it ourselves with our HOA fees.

We had a park fairly close to us in Shenandoah and a school ground for my kids to use. We had sidewalks to access them. It was nice.

Now I don't have a BREC park in my neighborhood, but it is a choice I made when I moved.

If you think you need a park close by, you could move you know.

It looks like they are planning to get started, meeting Wednesday.

Work to start next month.

And some of you guys were saying it would take over four years!!!!

It would be an improvement.

What improvements?
Off the top of my head:

-Traffic lights still not synchronized.( I was told 10 years ago when I moved here this was of paramount importance.)
-Reducing number of lanes on Government St.(for the one bike rider a year who wants to play in traffic)' making it more of a cluster.
-No new "new" bridge.
-No loop
-Citizen's tax dollars "dedicated" to infrastructure finding their way into pet projects to enrich their friends.

But let's all bow down & worship our politician's incompetence & stealing our hard earned money. Sheeple are depressing.

The sidewalk on Gardere should be an example for voters who wonder why things don't get done.

It's a running joke which tells you a lot about how things in EBR work or should I say don't work.

Can they throw in a few extra dollars to get rid of the sewage smell every time I drive down Gardere? There has to be technology out there to control that odor. Or maybe guild a Fabreeze plant next door?

Getting rid of that shite smell that plagues Gardere you would think would be a priority. Makes Gardere even that much more undesirable.
