He’s a sports reporter attempting to ridicule/shame people for sharing that they are boycotting professional sports for damn good reason.

Posting on social media that you are boycotting the NFL will encourage others to do so. A lot of effort will be put in to shame and ridicule those people.

Jacques needs to stick to sports because that's obviously the only thing he can comprehend. What a fricking idiot.

I kind of agree with what he said in that regard. If you're gonna boycott, then do it. Also, you don't have to let everyone know.

However, his analysis of the Blake incident is something that a fricking 2nd grader would come up with.

That is sports these days. You root for your team on the weekend and for black guys to win their fight with the cops the rest of the time.

I kind of see his point, even if I don't really care for the way he's putting it, bringing in the "shot 7 times in the back' thing. They NFL fallout is more than just that specific incident, at least it is for me. I'm also not really posting alot about it because I'm not sure I can stick with it. IF the Saints go 8-0, I damn well may start tuning in. I've had a NFL addiction since I was 9 years old and I'm not 100% sure that I can stop cold turkey.

But back to his point, it's like the people on Facebook that dramatically advertise their departure from Facebook, like they'll be so missed that someone needs to talk them out of it. Just go. Delete your account and go. Those people irritate me too.

Didn't he used to post here? One of those sports guys did. It was the one that dated Blondie in like 2008 or some shite. God, I've been on this site way too long.

Wow, I actually just witnessed a realistic and well worded OWEO post. Read it for myself and agreed with it.

I should go buy a lottery ticket. Maybe 2020 ain't gonna end so bad after all.

Hey Jacques, if you’re reading this—and we know a narcissist like yourself is—you fail to mention that Mr. Blake was never denied due process. If he’d surrendered he would have preserved his peaceful arrest and would have his day in court. Instead he chose a violent route and was dealt with accordingly.

But you don’t care about this because you’d rather perpetuate a false narrative. Understandably so, given your profession. So brave.

Good post.

That’s sports in 2020, ladies and gentlemen. This is why people are tuning out.

That's right. Then we had Joxy for awhile and she got me in trouble with Chicken because I had a well put together set of titties in my sig pic and she said that every time she was at work and checking TD for work purposes, one of my post would come along and cause a disturbance.

So instead of her turning off sig pics and avatars, my sig pic and avatars got removed and I was pretty pissed off about it.

Women get all the breaks.

An NBA writer for The Athletic was talking about this new “ shaming” thing for anybody who opts out of the new SJW/Gricvance Industry production design of televised sports. There is a strategy of ridicule and marginalization to follow any semi- organized effort to opt out of professional sports. This will only grow as those who have skin in the game ( Doucet ) scurry to establish their racial bona fides and separate themselves from any dissent so they can avoid the backlash. They want to be woker than the competition. It comes across as the short aging white guy desperately trying to keep his spot with the cool kids and giving the finger to sports fans who have a legitimate issue with the constant racial evangeliism.

The NBA went too far. James Harden got blasted for wearing a facemask supporting police. The league has pretty much forced the players to show support for BLM. I'd go as far as saying I bet the majority of players don't give a frick about BLM. A loud minority doesn't represent everyone.

The bigger problem is that everyone is worried about "cancel culture". I would say more people are more concerned about being canceled than they are about BLM.

Instead of allowing players to support whatever they want, they can support whatever they want, as long as it is in relation to BLM.

These are business decisions that some players have a voice in. They are going to make a decision that is in their best interest, which I don't blame them. No one wants to hurt their bottom line, but what's best for individual players isn't best for the whole league.

Take Kawhi Leonard for example. He is a quiet dude anyway, but he isn't going to get too involved in it all. He is signed by New Balance. If he went all in on this "movement" that wouldn't fit into NB target audience.

IMO, its just a bunch of bullshite that companies, players, etc jump on for their own interest..

Like I said, i think the biggest issue is the fact people have to be worried about being cancelled if they don't say what people expect them to say.

It’s so badass that people like you and this Jacques clown you can now use one more thing that used to bring people together to stick it to people who “annoy” you, ain’t it?

Winning!

Okay, so nice strawman. I'm as annoyed as everyone else about politics and social justice issues being shoved down my throat at all times, but people who say they are going to boycott and then don't are just as annoying and have less convictions. As much as I dislike the BLM organization (I don't agree with their more socialist stances at all) at least the players actually did something. Half the people bitching and moaning just bitch and moan and then watch the games. If people who disagree (which includes a lot of people) all stopped watching, the NFL TV ratings would nose dive, but they don't.

You guys are so bothered. It consumes every second of your existence. This is not being fricking "woke". Believe me, the awakening looks nothing like this silly shite.
