i want to see the video
the longer it's not released, the higher the likelihood that it's terrible for the prosecution

The video will be tragically and accidentally destroyed.

Hope charges were dropped. I applaud the mother, not knowing anything more about her for trying to take him back to the detention center. I have a feeling that she, like many other mothers, believed that prison was the best chance for him to remain alive. She was right.

Just call the cops and pray dude. I'm sure it'll work out fine.
Ever wondered why Liberals think its NOT ok for you to defend yourself with a gun, but IT IS ok for a cop to defend you with a gun? Because cops make such great shooting decisions......

My guess is, as this unravels, autopsy report with inventory of his personal belongings will show he had a knife and we'll also see that he did things that justified being charged as an adult and going to prison, not juvey.

I see nothing wrong with a grand jury looking into this case. If then indicted him, then they are correct. A jury of his peers will now hear the case.

I REALLY hope you get robbed. This was clearly justified and I'm glad he's dead.
Nobody did anything to you and nobody cares what you think.

typical b-caster move will be to ignore/avoid or respond with his patented short, dismissive response ("naw")

Jackson makes Memphis look like a good place to live and NOLA look like a phenomenal place to live

Apologies if it is mentioned in this thread, but who is his defense attorney? Was he appointed counsel or did he have to retain an attorney? (Assuming he retained someone since there is a GoFunMe.)
Jackson, MS ppl - who are the goto Criminal Defense attorneys over there for murder cases?

the castle doctrine?
Doesn't apply as he wasn't inside of his car at the time. If he were inside, it would only create a rebuttable presumption that the use of deadly force was appropriate. Under some circumstances, the State could rebut the presumption. There was a case I remember once (can't remember the name), where a dad shot his daughters boyfriend as he was sneaking in through a window. He argued castle doctrine, but it was shown that he hated the guy after finding out he was fricking his daughter and knew he was coming to sneak in that night.

This is worse. He used it to defend himself...completely legal. Indicted for premeditated murder.
