All of the posts talking about Islam (the religion, not this idiot's last name) are a little simplistic. Not wrong per se, but it's not quite as cut and dried. Yes- the culture of Islam in some countries breeds this sort of thing and normalizes it. However, keep in mind that this was done in an Islamic nation and he is looking at life in prison. So it's not as simple as Islam=barbaric. There has to be room in our thinking and conversation for some nuance.
