'I've got a surprise for you': Husband blindfolds wife, chops off her fingers

quote:
A jealous husband is facing life in prison after chopping off his wife's fingers because she began studying for a degree without his permission.
Rafiqul Islam, 30, blindfolded his wife Hawa Akhter, 21, and taped her mouth, telling her he was going to give her a surprise present.
Instead he made her hold out her hand and cut off all five fingers. One of his relatives then threw Ms Akhter's fingers in the dustbin to ensure doctors could not reattach them.
quote:
Mr Islam, who is a migrant worker in the United Arab Emirates, had warned his wife there would 'severe consequences' if she did not give up her studies.
quote:
'Suddenly, he blindfolded me and tied my hand. He also taped my mouth saying that he would give me some surprise gifts. But, instead he cut off my fingers.'
quote:
'He was enraged. He was jealous because while he only had a grade eight standard education, she was off to college to pursue higher studies,' said Mr Saluddin.

Not a well thought out plan. I hope you enjoy making your own sandwiches, Mr. Islam.

This religion is truly psycho. I mean, if my priest told me to go kill my wife, I'd look at him funny then go call the Bishop and immediately report him, then , i'd call the police. Here, dude knows he's going to jail BEFORE he does this...and still does it! Why? Islam. A truly horrifying religion.

I wonder if when they wrote: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
If they really meant to protect religions that taught stuff like this? Some how, I doubt it

I'm pretty sure you can only take your religious freedom so far. Just like you can't say anything you want. There are limits. Usually the limit is where your religious liberty harms someone else (and I'm not talking about refusing to bake a fricking cake).

He showed leniency, typically it's the whole hand.

What our founders meant was that the government could not endorse or favor one religion over another like muslim countries like the Islamic State of Iran do. There are at least 20 countries with Islamic State in their official names.

And yet we have "In God We Trust" on our money and our presidents swear in on the Bible

Meanwhile on every network and campus in America, thousands of filthy Progs are busy loudly telling normals they are " Islamophobes" for noticing.
