If so.. Africa or Asia?
Africa. Much more difficult.
Who can honestly say they know where Djibouti, Eritrea, or Lesotho is?
Posted on 7/21/20 at 11:06 pm to HempHead
I know exactly where Eritrea is.

You would be better off learning a new language unless you’re planning to be a geography teacher.

You misspelled pornograpy

Fastest I can complete Africa map is 64 seconds. The rate limiting step is the mouse and clicking. How on earth that site record could truly be 38 seconds makes no sense to me. I can only shave tenths of seconds. But could never break 64s

I actually tried that. It’s a mess for Rwanda and Burundi and Eswatini. I was quicker with a mouse. I minimized screen to what felt like smallest possible sweet spot. Can’t improve my time. I gave up trying.
Edit:
You know... maybe you’re onto something. Maybe some screen stylus is actually the way to go. More precision.
Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in

Eat some cherries, man
Posted on 7/21/20 at 11:19 pm to tunechi
Ate about 20 of them earlier and now I'm balls deep in a map of Africa

Work on the periodic table next. It is elementary to a good education.

West Africa and Central Asia's political geography is a real challenge :) Give it a try!
I would recommend you master South and East Asia first before memorizing all the landlocked -stans in Central Asia. The former Soviet Bloc states are hard to remember.
The nations on the islands in SE ASIA and also in Oceania can be tricky, too.
As for Africa, West is by far the hardest. The rest of Africa's political geography is actually quite easy! Africa's cultural geography, OTOH, is wildly complicated. Africa is home to hundreds of different spoken languages.
I'm quite weak in physical geography across the board, but I'm great at political geography.

I've taken to studying map projections.

I think I'm partial to the Hammer Aitoff (#22), the North Pole Lambert Azimuthal Equal Area (#30), and the Polyconic (#35), but the Two-point Equidistant (#44) is growing on me.
