Winter bums in Portland, Seattle and San Francisco date back to mid 1800's when unskilled lumber and mining guys came down to the relatively warmer coast as the mountains froze. It was tolerated by the cities because the industries needed that labor back up in the mountains when it thawed.

Then mountain jobs went away as resources were exhausted and the bums became addicts. Reasonable social policies rooted in the 1850's failed.

Economic and racial problems often have old and long roots. Whatever the solutions are, they must realize such. The problems have little to do with which party held the presidency for the last 20 years.

Driven every kind of rig that’s ever been made.

Driven the backroads so I wouldn’t get weighed.

And boy I tell you, that was no little feat!

I’d be curious where the hipsters and leftists that moved to New Orleans came from. My money is on California, NY/NJ

True. In Portland, the problems have nothing to do with the presidency and everything to do with local voting patterns in local elections.

Yeah no. I’ve been to Seattle multiple times. Can’t speak on Portland. But every time I go to Seattle, I feel like I’m the odd ball not being a hipster or trans.

Tons of California license plates. Then you have the usual Tulane transplants who bring their manure lifestyles and voting with them. NE and California. Basically the worst people in the country.
