I think you misunderstood me. The rest of the state is the problem, ergo you're part of the problem.

The petrochemical industry between Nola and BR is doing quite well and more construction and expansion is happening

This is why I can't take the Jindal sucks or JBE sucks shite seriously - it's people just waving their teams pom poms around without saying the root of the problem being that nobody we elect wants to change the state constitution keeping budgets locked and immune to cuts. Its political suicide to even suggest fixing it and nothing will ever get done because of it.

Bigger problem is getting companies to come to LA and invest in the states future when everyone who runs the state has no clue what they are doing.
I always find it interesting when people talk about getting companies to invest in LA, as if this is the primary means of developing industry.
How about, you know, people in Louisiana building companies from the ground up? That’s what successful areas have. Not just corporate relocations.
The issue is that we are poorly educated and lacking in ambition.

Partly true.
It's tough to build from the ground up, then sustain, when you've got to pay graft to politic...um...friends of public servants, to "public servants" to expedite permitting, building permits, inspections, and whatever other costs are involved.

One great thing about living in Louisiana is when you move away, you appreciate your New hometown more

Sounds like that fits Louisiana to a T.
