It’s the 40 year anniversary of AC/DC’s Back in Black

Damn that makes me feel old.
On another note it’s Micheal Jackson week or day or something on Sirius so keep an eye on your little kids

I still find it strange that Bob Scott died in February of 1980 and AC DC was able to replace him and come up with arguably one of the best albums of all time in a matter of a few months

Let me put my love into you- that intro meshes well with the cadence of the tomahawk chop.
Underrated song on that album.

I bought the cassette version back then.

I find it odd that AC/DC's best song, Ride On, is never played on the radio, but we have to hear Back in Black 10,000,000 times a year.

Mutt Lange was a slave diver, and plus you are only talking about ten tracks. It was recorded in the Bahamas, no less.
My favorite track has always been Have a Drink on Me.

It was such a freaking bad arse album. If you could play those 5 or 6 cords back then you got immediate street cred.
I probably didn’t go to a party when I didn’t hear BNB for years. Even the brothers loved it

Fun Fact: AC/DC holds the Guiness Record for most songs with "Rock" in the title.
Actually, I made that up, but it should be true.

best song, Ride On
They never played it live.
Ride-on is OK but AC/DC did better outside the blues rock genre.
For me, their best song is It's a Long Way to the Top.

The lyrics are much more in line with a Bon Scott album than a Brian Johnson. That is all.

Unpopular, but as a 70's kid it's really overrated. Big time.

Yeah, that Bob Scott was a hell of a singer. I like Richard Plant a little better, though.

Still love AC/DC. They get a lot of shite for being simple minded loud rock, but they never really pretended to be anything other than that so more power to em.

One of the better rock bands in a decade full of one hit wonder shite bands. You really did not have many choices for good new music back then. I sure was glad when the big hair glitter bands faded and in rushed new music in the 90’s that was unique and different while I was in college.

Bon Scott.
Odd fact: Bon Scott had a job as a crawfisherman when he was young.
