Living in high humidity is the worst. Or at least I think it is. Whenever I get a chance to leave the south and get up in some elevation I'm always amazed at how much better dry air feels and how much my mood improves. Its like humidity is a midget that hangs on to your back and breaths into your ear.

Its days like this that people should thank the gods for bringing us Air Conditioning. I grew up poor and for a while we didn't have anything but fans. Everything you own will get a film of mold/mildew on it. Leather shoes will turn a different color from mold. Books will get wrinkly. Clothes that are stored in closet will start to smell stale. Fruit in the house spoils with the quickness. Black mold grows in spots in bathrooms due to even more moisture.
Its the fricking worst.

Sounds miserable man. My paw paw used to tell me about living without ac. I've never had to.
He told me they'd open all of the windows but the road they lived off of wasn't paved yet and every time a car passed they'd get dust all over everything.
