Gunshots and burglaries every night even in the "safer" areas. I left BR and Louisiana, encouraging the kids to leave. Rampant crime, gangs, open drug use, drag racing, street surfaces collapsing into sewer lines, litter being picked up by private citizens, clogged storm water drainage routes. And we haven't even seen a glimpse of the iceberg below the water for city-parish government corruption and crimes, but word is starting to leak out. It's very bad.

Well, if the city would actually get a republican in office, that mayor would back the police department and then would unleash the officers.

That would shut down lots of those issues once officers were not scared for their jobs by just doing their jobs
