Face it, your employer is not paying you more this year just because there's an extra day in the year.
Therefore all salary employees are essentially working for nothing today.

Enjoy your Monday at work thinking about all the hourly folks getting paid and you're not.

it takes the earth 365.25 days to revolve around the sun, IE 1 year....

so for 3 years i get that .25 days of pay without having to work it, on the 4th year I have to work that other .75 days so its a wash...

How many fun toys can you really buy with an extra $500 take home pay?

Dude, this is the OT. It's more like an extra $6K.

Good point, did get paid for Tuesday afternoon.

Hurricanes I get OT if the office is closed, since I'll usually be working anyway doing damage assessments.

Lol hourly poors trying to make fun of us salaried folk.

I go play football on company time. I get to work from home if it's raining. I get more time off then you probably can fathom. I get a big arse bonus check every April.

I'll gladly work for "free" today if that's how you want to call it.

December 31st is on a Saturday.

If not for 2/29 then it would be on a Friday.

I am working the same amount of days clown.

I'm going to get that Friday off as a paid holiday either way.

ETA: Actually it might end up being on a Monday off... dammit.

I haven't worked anything less than 50 hours in a week in over three years. What's another 8+ hours.

Interestingly it'd actually a little less than 365.25 (i.e., 365.24222....) so there are actually 3 leap years removed in a leap cycle (400 years).

Salaried employees get an extra day to boost productivity for a better raise and bonus! Unlike you poor union guys that need someone to negotiate your pay for you.
