What? Are you saying it's okay, then not okay, then okay again?

It sounds like the invasion at Omaha beach around here right now. One of the negative location traits of residing in Livingston Parish.
My friend used to live in the LP and throw the New Year's Eve party every year.
One year I was driving into his neighborhood and thought to myself that it was unusually foggy for the time of year until I realized it was smoke from all the fireworks.
The LP is fricking serious about their pyrotechnics.

A spirited flyer and pamphlet campaign by myself and some neighbors has really proven effective in reducing noise. Just explained how you can have fun without being loud. Also threatened lawsuits and overnight stays in what we call "the brig" aka the clubhouse. My 29 month old angel will sleep soundly tonight.
I hope I never meet anyone as miserable and as big as a buzzkill as you.

Why is it only helicopter parents who say shite like 29 months old?
Just say two years old.

I'm in the middle of Redneckville, LA and I can't tell if my neighbor just had a bad night on meth and shot his wife 19 times or saved up his last paycheck to buy fireworks

Rednecks love their fireworks.

Not when you’re standing tall, before The Man.
We had a good bit of fireworks that are better suited for nighttime, so we popped our noisemakers then went in about 8:15. Came back out aroun 9 to set off the artillery shells, roman candles and bottle rockets. He comes outside walking around his yard and his driveway doing random things and just staring us down.
He kept mumbling shite as we started to clean up but never actually walked up to us or addressed us directly.
We were done by 9:45 and I'm pretty sure he was pissed.
Not sure why people who have kids expect everyone else to cater to their needs.

More about a battle of wants. For example:
A. I have small kids and a job. I want people to stop shooting fireworks by 10:00 because I want my kids to go to bed and I want to get some sleep before I got to work tomorrow morning.
vs.
B. I want to shoot my fireworks at midnight cause they look purtier after the 3rd six pack. Plus, my old lady gits frisky after two bottles and some mortar shells.
