I ran the vacuum cleaner while my twins were babies. It's much better for them to get used to it. Never shushed anybody.

A spirited flyer and pamphlet campaign by myself and some neighbors has really proven effective in reducing noise. Just explained how you can have fun without being loud. Also threatened lawsuits and overnight stays in what we call "the brig" aka the clubhouse. My 29 month old angel will sleep soundly tonight.

All 4 of my kids were born during football season......a couple little fireworks aren’t waking them up.

We have the strangest dog. He's not scared of loud noises. He'll go out and take a dump in the backyard during a lightning storm

I looked over at the animal and asked if the fireworks were disturbing her. She opened one eye, farted, and went back to sleep.

You’re clearly clueless. You can do those things with newborns and very young kids but from about 6-18 months loud noises can really freak out a baby.

Most on here will be durrrrrr baw’n this and that bc they have no kids / responsibilities

Nope. Even the Googles can't find a picture to go along with "one-eyed gassy narcoleptic".

Couple weeks actually. Neighbors like to hit the fireworks stands while they are packing up the day after for some clearance deals. Generally leads to a week long celebration.

Exactly, a full couple of weeks. And people with young kids have every right to bitch about the obnoxious worthless fricks of the world. Get some low level stuff and not the bomb shell ww2 re-enactment, but nah that’s not near trashy enough for the majority of La ppl.

The 4th demands fireworks, let those kids have some fun without being a jerk about it.

It sounds like the invasion at Omaha beach around here right now. One of the negative location traits of residing in Livingston Parish. And there’s no time limit around here, this will be a continuous battleground well past midnite. You never have a cease fire, only tiny breaks for reloading. We not talking black cats either, mortar fire is constant. Any of my poor neighbors are PTSD Vets, they are likely calling for air support in their living room right about now. It’s mind boggling how much money these people blow on fireworks and it’s EVERY holiday. July 4 seems to be extra heavy on mortar crews.

We spent almost 8 years in LP and can confirm. It sounds like WWIII on the 4th and New Years
