Imagine Moreno or Thomas as mayor after doing nothing but talk on the City Council for years. And Thomas should not touch that building considering his felon thievery in his 1st round on the City Council.

It is probably better to have nobody running the place as opposed to local Democrat politicians although I do think the new police chief is shockingly good. The. FQ should be annexed by the state

There are certain people, in all aspects of business and education, who like to dress to the nines and use big words because they think it makes them look competent. It doesn't and they aren't. But heaven help any who question their competency.

The power of the City Council is pretty legally restricted in NOLA. They can't do anywhere near as much as you think they can, and they have taken on executive duties that are not within their purview.
Moreno, I don't agree with her on a lot of issues, but she will at least work hard.
