The city sure solicited annexation requests by businesses back in 2015 during the first St George push.

Kip et all got caught admitting it in the press then backtracked.

People on both sides of this St. George thing are acting utterly delusional and callous about it. Can’t say I’m surprised though as this is the status quo in today’s political climate.

They already have a brand new school in the limits paid for by all of EBR, I wonder if they’ll have to pay it back.

Was it paid for by all of EBR? Do Baker, Zachary, and Central still fund EBR school construction?

Anyway as you admitted StG residents as part of EBR paid taxes to EBR school district and probably a higher share per capita than many areas in city of Baton Rouge, so residents helped fund any schools in area.

Considering what EBR paid for the new Park elementary school for less than 250 students I am sure they have an over-inflated sense of value of their recent construction projects. Even paying that much for 450 students as planned around a decade ago seems high much less for its numbers going down over time (along with test scores). A decade from conception & almost $22 million for a school to be built for less than 250 students is another example of EBR schools not being a good steward of taxpayers’ $.

Since Park is currently failing, I think the school system’s typical playbook is to import white kids to raise the grade and, failing that, shut it down for a year or two then reopen it.

Moved out of BR to Prairieville to make the same great escape as many other folks, now I’m looking forward to moving to St. George in the next year or so.

Well, wherever you are from, I guess they consider that classy behavior. Does your Mom make you wipe the basement toilet seat or your Playstation is punished?
