Didn’t Teedy say crime was trending in the right direction?

I just don't get it. Not the shootings; I don't get those and I don't really care to. But I don't understand the people who have even the slightest skills, such as police officers, bus drivers, teacher, nurses, firemen, mechanics, plumbers, electricians, who stay in that city.

You don't owe anything to anyone. There is no prize for remaining in a hellscape. You're fighting a losing battle.

There were many battles in Afghanistan with fewer casualties than a weekend in New Orleans.

This is such a simple answer. I really don’t understand why this has to be so complicated to understand why it has gotten so bad.

As long as officers are handcuffed and administrations are quick to burn someone, crime will keep getting worse.

The reason you don’t touch a pot of boiling water is because you learned a long time ago that it really hurts and until that same mentality is applied to committing violent crimes, nothing will ever change.
