It makes sense to say that it was a combination of all of these things. SP said that his heart wasn't in it anymore. Why not take him at his word? Now, when we ask ourselves "Why?" Why was his heart no longer in it? The answer is a combination of all of the things we've mentioned.
My impression of SP is that he developed an incredibly intense "Bromance" with Brees. That Bromance ended and SP was left "broken-hearted", if you will.
SP's heart WAS Drew Brees and that "sweetheart" retired. This was just another item of the list of reasons why SP's heart wasn't in it anymore.
But, folks. His new wife. She has absolutely no ties and no connection to NOLA. She's not from any "urban" background of any kind - she's a "Cracker". Lots of Crackers don't like NOLA, you can tell by reading this board.
NOLA is a dying city. I would not use the word "shithole, but, IMHO, it's a dying city. I understand why people are moving away from it.

If you have had a multimillion dollar salary for as long as Sean Peyton has you don’t need the headache of living in a crime ridden shithole. Doesn’t matter how much you still like the game there comes a time when you can just walk away and live your life.
