There are cave paintings and rock etchings going back thousands of years, that accurately show images of humans , animals, and what we interpret today as ET’s.

There are similarities in civilizations who had no contact with each other thousands of years ago that we can’t explain.

There are written accounts going back thousands of years that seemingly describe alien contact.

There are remnants of civilizations thousands of years old that feature uses of technology that they shouldn’t have had at that time.

Like it or not, it’s clear there was some kind of influence back then that didn’t come from humans as we know them.

It’s arrogant and ridiculous to think we’re the pinnacle of civilization anywhere.

My personal opinion is that each galaxy might have one or two intelligent species. In our galaxy it is us. And other galaxies are so far away that we'll never be able to communicate with aliens in other galaxies.

My take as well, it's difficult to truly visualize the vast distances and time required at the speed of light. Eons.

Reconcile relativity, quantum physics and gravity into the elusive "Theory of Everything" and it's a different discussion. Won't happen this century; except for its effects we still don't really understand gravitational force at distance.

At least that's what I've read over the years, am not smart enough to fully comprehend the equations. Fascinating subject.

They did the odds on this about 10 years ago using numerous calculations. Those original calculations estimated there were many planets capable os supporting life. About 2 years ago they found one of those factors was off by so much the end result changed to there was practically zero chances.

Why? And “supports life” is an ex post facto term. You’re assuming that an environment that supports life somehow creates an [x] statistical probability that life actually exists there. It’s a necessary condition with an infinite number of insufficiencies. And therefore essentially not very meaningful.

Alien life 100% exists. The question is how intelligent is alien life.
100% there is alien life out there that’s far more intelligent than us. Look how quickly our technology has advanced in the past 100 years. Hell, in a span of 60 years we went from traveling by horse and buggy to sending astronauts into space. Now imagine a civilization with thousands of years head start on us

Plus, I bet the aliens would never scream “roll tide”

How long has the universe been around…and how long will we survive? Time is a huge factor that this mathematical certainty completely disregards.

Maybe it just isn't possible to travel at even close to the speed of light, so we haven't found each other.

It’s not but what’s crazy is that even if we could there’s a distance away from us beyond which we can never reach even if we travel at the speed of light for eternity. And it’s not that far in galactic terms. Crazy stuff and I love it.

The odds of life spawning may be so low that a single instance anywhere in the universe was extremely unlikely. We have no fricking clue what those odds are. All we know is that we exist, and that tells us literally nothing about the odds.

The fact that it happened here and the uncountable number of other planets and moons in this universe make it a certainty. There are millions, probably billions, of other places in the universe where life exists. That’s awesome.

So there are approximately 200,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars in the observable universe.
The biggest known star has a diameter of approx. 1.7 billion miles and is 2,000 times larger than our sun. For context, our sun can fit 1.3 million earths inside. It’s crazy how small our planet is compared to everything out there.

Not really. It’s sort of an amalgamation of similar sentiments expressed by others who think it’s preposterous to believe we’re the result of time and chance.

Don’t believe me ask any AIr Force pilot that flew for 20-30 years, or Commercial pilot or any ship captain that spent his life on the water. If they are being honest they have some strange tales to tell you.
I’m not questioning the veracity of witnesses or what’s documented. Never have.

The others have always been with us, call them angels, demons, monsters, fairies etc. They are the same thing, inter-dimensional, extra planetary creatures that are not human hence “others” .
Broadly speaking, I think this idea is more accurate than creatures from other galaxies within the universe.

They don’t care , obviously we don’t care. Let shite lie in the grass. Stop trying to get the attention of something that could wipe us out.
