Why isnt there a roaving hover drone actively scanning for anomalies? That should spot the ambush.

They're basically creating rolling defensible positions as they progress into Gaza. Those positions are of their own choosing as far as size and location, and they can be quickly built. They do everything they can to insure the interior of that position is secure (regarding tunnel entrances and hides) and then use those positions as command areas and jumping off points. All of this hinges on the armored bulldozers they are using, which are game changers. Because they essentially control land to the north of Gaza city and to its south, they should have fairly uninterrupted supply lines to these areas.

There have been more raids into the West Bank, primarily in Jenin again, over the past several hours. They're putting the dozers to work.

Reminder that the Hamas charter calls for the destruction of Israel and the killing of Jews. You want a ceasefire? Bring the hostages home, demand that Hamas should surrender, and finally come to the conclusion that @israel is not going anywhere.

Mutually supporting mean the two strong points can see each other and the terrain always them to repel (usually via grazing fire) attempts to get past the line of defense.

At what altitude? Enemy small arms fire would bring down any drone within effective range.
