You'd be surprised at the number of people on the Poli board that think Russia should be allowed to leave the tip in.
Doe’s Russia still have a full tip? Much less leave what tip they have left inside a country that pretty much stopped the offensive 20 months ago. Israel shouldn’t give a single frick about Russia, China, or anyone else. On October 7th the world was once again caught off guard by Islamic Extremism because people let their guard down, now here we are. Regardless of the many failures of intelligence, these terrorist did what they did, now, I have zero problem with Israel exterminating every single one from the face of the earth. Israel can take care of it, if might be easier if we didn’t have people in this country that were burning down cities in America several years ago over a dope head that are now carrying water for a Terrorist Group because that’s what social media told them to believe. Easy times and weak men, that’s where this country is. But by all means protest for a group of people that would, of all things, have to have a vote just to decide just how to execute someone with 6 Genders.

They could’ve just been left behind in Afghanistan.

We're on the same page here. While I support Ukraine because Russia is Asshoe, our aid to them should consist of weapons only, not cash. Still, there are some, particularly on the Poli Board, that think Putin is justified and that the Russians are good Christians just trying to stop the Nazis.

Anyone know what time Nasrallah’s speech is at in American time? I have a feeling this “big speech” is nothing but psychological warfare, but I’m still interested in knowing what he says.

Only thing I've been able to find is 1300 GMT which is 8am Central. But it said that was when the event he's going to speak at starts, so it could be anytime soon if it hasn't started already.

Cash to Ukraine is one of the dumbest moves our government has made. You know damn well our representatives realize this money is going straight in the pockets of the few..
I still dont get our objective there and would be happy if Ukraine, Israel, Egypt, Palestinians, Jordan, Iraq and Iran never got another penny from us again. We cant afford this shite.

Al Jazeera English has the best translator that I have found. The one on Sky News sucked.

Apparently, he's said little of nothing other than the usual terrorist rabble rousing.

This after calling the attackers heroes and martyrs.

And the Nasrallah speech was apparently followed by a Blinken speech.

This is an administration completely twisted in knots. Blinken's speech is all over the place. I can't tell if the policy is to support the destruction of Hamas or to undermine that objective.
quote:
Blinken blames Hamas for using human shields then pivots to reward the practice of using human shields - letting Hamas know it works and will lead to pressure on Israel. Blinken says more aid is needed for Gaza, but then admits Hamas is stealing the aid.
quote:
Blinken says he supports Israel destroying Hamas terrorists and infrastructure but then says he wants a pause that doesn’t benefit Hamas. But can’t explain in any way what kind of pause wouldn’t benefit Hamas.
quote:
Blinken says we need a two state solution as Israel is at war, Fatah is calling for mass murder, terror cells continue operating throughout the West Bank & the Palestinian Authority maintains its pay-for-slay policy. Maybe this speech plays well in Amman but tone deaf in Israel.

I've listened to the whole thing so far, he really hasn't said anything of consequence. "America is Satan, glory to resistance, we are already in action since Oct 8, we are distracting a third of israel's logistics, oct 7 was pure heroism." Seems like he's Bending over backwards to say hezbollah is already doing everything they can, pumping up what they are already doing, "but we still have alot up our sleeve if needed", "America doesn't scare us", Israel is nothing without america. Kinda a weakness speech considering what people were speculating.
It's funny to watch this guy shout at random points in this speech and a calm clear consistant English dub over it.
Still talking though. Threatening US ships now, saying they are prepared for the ships if needed.
This guy clearly knows hezbollah has nothing for US and Israel, and Lebanon can't handle throwing bigger punches. But he's screaming really loud, so be scared. It seems like he's more trying to keep support for what they are already doing which I didn't even know was necessary until this guy started yelling. He spent a significant amount of the early speech diffusing responsibility for oct 7th, saying over and over that Hamas acted independently and all militias are independent, and that they were surprised when oct 7 attack happened. He spent a telling amount of time, indicating that.
And it's over.

Is he actually there making a speech or are they broadcasting it to that audience over speakers and giant screens?
Posted on 11/3/23 at 9:28 am to BayouBengal51
Big screen of course.
All and all, I'd say if I were an israeli, I'd feel marginally less threatened by hezbollah than before the speech, if there was any change at all. Although he did say some mean things.
Seems like they are positioning for any more escalation to be on iraqi and syrian militias against US. He spent a portion of time pumping them up and saying this is all american doing, so they are the real target. At one point, he seemed to indicate even israel was a victim of the US.

Figured as much. I didn't think he was dumb enough to crawl out of whatever hole he lives in to make himself a target.

It's quite interesting, having actually watched the entire speech live, now scrolling through twitter seeing all theses accounts quoting the worst possible fragments of sentences to elicit the greatest response. The greatest escalators of this entire conflict are click seekers to be honest.

I was never really worried about Hezbollah but that’s the exact thing I took away from the speech. They’re all talk and that’s it. Even I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought the stuff they’ve been doing were just little things. Even I thought maybe they had more in store but apparently this is it lol. Or they just know they’ll get fricked up if they really go at Israel.

They've been fighting in Syria for a decade now with a few thousand of them being killed. Unless their recruiting and budget is way better than I'm thinking it is, they have to be somewhat depleted. I can't imagine they're much more than an annoying distraction for the IDF.
Or maybe they're like all the brilliant college football coaches and have saved their best game plan for the real fight against the US and Israelis.

I believe Hez is much stronger than hamas and has members worldwide. Also, has more and better weaponry. But not a match for Israel
