You were schemed by CBS.

No one is fricking you over by offering cheap prices if you aren’t checking a bag and don’t care where you sit.

That isn’t screwing anyone over.

It is literally on the ticketing page, usually in picture form so that the morons also understand.

There are many reasons to get pissed at the airline industry, but those listed aren’t even in the top 50.

Simple solution:
-dont select a seat, theyll still give one to you, and 99% of the time, right next to whomever you are flying with
-dont check bags or it you are, you should know that it costs extra going in
-eat before you get on the plane and bring snacks

I hate it when those airlines want to charge me for extra seats when my fat rolls occupy the seats next to me.

People who exhibit a lack of preparation and interest in their own affairs get "ripped off"

There is no rip-off here. Just people who dont cant read the documents they agree to.

We could always go back to pre-deregulation when ticket prices were astronomical.

It is just like eating "ala carte" in a restaurant . You pay for what you get. My cousin flies the discount airlines and gets pretty good deals. He only brings a carry on bag, does not care where he sits, and eats a full meal before boarding the plane.

You mean how they all work in tandem to agree on who dominates which market, like the mob used t0 do?

As the OP has proven, the illustrative graphics aren’t totally moron-proof.

Yeah for a weekend trip where I don’t need a lot I can fly round trip for $150 or less. It’s great. If I need a bag I look elsewhere.

I would like to just go back to the free bag check like we had pre 2005era when the airlines made up this bullshite about offsetting fuel since it was started during one of the oil price hikes. There’s really no reason why you shouldn’t get a checked bag when you purchase a ticket.

Worst part of flying now is having pets with them. I wonder what rights people with pet allergies have if faced with that situation sitting next to them.
