Nope...i have the exact opposite scenario. I have always thought my dad was a great man, but the more I learn about parenting (my kids), about his younger yrs (what all he did to put food on the table) what he did for friends and family when they were in tight spots and how at nearly 80 he is taking care of mom... If Im half the dad he is then I'll be pretty dang good

Yes, I see the many faults of my father now that I’m older, but it has done nothing for the amount of respect he’s earned through the years. Good, bad, or ugly, he continues to do his job and has knocked it out of the park as a grandfather.

Sorry, dude. Can't relate. To me, my dad always was, and still is, a god to me. I fear the day he is no longer here for me to talk to and consult with.

sounds like you have a shitty father.
the older i get the more i realize my Dad is/was right about everything and i am/was an idiot for not believing him sooner.

Does he tell you he loves you?
Did he provide for you?
Put food on the table for you?
Put a roof over your head?
Buy you stuff?
Take you places you wanted/needed to go?
Spend time with you?
If he did all of these things then you're acting like a teenager.
If he is/was abusive to you or your mom or if he cheats on your mom then he's scum and you can disregard everything I've said.
