Is Water (H2O) Wet?

I challenge someone to prove water is wet. My theory is water does not get water wet. It only dampens what it touches therefore making the object wet.

Every time I draw a circle I know where it begins and ends it’s a shade darker than the rest due to overlapping of the writing utensils graphite or ink

What if you have 2 sources of water with varying degrees of salinity?
The water with the higher salinity takes in more water to reach equilibrium, thereby confirming that water makes water more wet.

If water is frozen and then left out to defrost.
The heat transfer between the liquid water on the surface and the remaining frozen water would result in more liquid water being produced.
Water making water wetter.
