It is a record. Previous record was 94.


I'm really fricking hoping the storms on radar continue making their way southeast into our area. My yard needs rain so bad right now.

Wouldn't bet on it. Sitting between two lower pressure areas, all the air those are lifting is being dumped here. Sinking air isn't going to help those storms make it.

It is so hot right now though, can't rule out a storm or two firing up over the area. Rain chances pick up tomorrow though won't be widespread. Any storms that do come up could push severe limits and dump some good rain.

Here at MSY, Temperature at 4:10 pm hit 97 F. Broke record by five degrees.

Also 97 F set record for month of May.
