I thought we were at the best point in my lifetime at the end of the 2nd bush term but it has degraded rapidly every year since.

I have a relative just tell us all of the Trump supporters in our family is being disowned by her. They said we are terrorist that want to destroy democracy and are criminals for supporting Trump. It was hilarious.

Show them the damage from a summer of democratic riots and looting compared to the minimal damage to the Capitol last week.

I was young, but the 1960s were pretty divided. Bombings, assassinations, lots of protests and confrontations in the streets. Families and communities divided similar to now.

I used to consider the Democrats and Republicans as two means of achieving a similar goal in mind. Today however, it’s crystal clear that there are two wildly different agendas, one that wants to hold to our founding principles and sovereignty, and the other a singular intolerant socialist party world view

The two CANNOT coexist. Both parties know it.

But don’t you dare think they’d fix an election! That’d be conspiracy theory. Lol

You realize there are way more RINOs on the local level right? They stand no chance in hell of winning a race with a (D) next to their name so publicly profess to be (R) but govern basically as (D) with the exception of a couple easy red meat votes here or their to give the public appearance they’re “conservative.” Louisiana is rife with them.

Turn off your TV/Facebook/poliboard/reddit/whatever and live your life. Interact with people in the real world and get out of your bubble. It's not that hard.

always remain willing to see the other side's perspective. But the past 4-5 years have had nothing to do with that. Once Trump won in 2016, Dems completely lost their minds and went on an all-out treasonous attack against America. This doesn't involve a difference of opinion within the general framework of our polity and Constitution.

And this is why I went from lifelong liberal to conservative in a few short years. The behavior of the left over the last few years has been batshit fricking crazy. Crazier now than ever.

I think we have been more divided twice in the nations history. Civil war and during desegregation.

I don’t see the nation coming together again though. I think our rights are in more danger than they’ve ever been. These radical leftists are straight up authoritarians

If anyone reads history they’ll see the left is so obviously moving in a Maoist/Bolshevik direction that we can already see it surfacing in censored speech and re-educative anti-racist training. Been there done that.

Anyone who supports the BLM anti-American agenda is no friend of mine. Anyone who denounces the founding fathers/settlers who sacrificed everything for the left’s freedoms today, is no friend of mine. You can have freedom or you can have equality, but you cannot both. A third grader knows that, but here we are dick dancing towards another bogus Utopian vision.

He’s a victim of the moment just like anyone else.

The national guard shot and killed people on the campus of Kent State in his lifetime.

He watched the entirety of the civil rights marches and violence.

To say it hasn’t been this divided is asinine.

I'm kind of jealous of you. I wish I had a relative that would say that. I would enjoy the shite out of what would come in response to that.

I have a relative that warned my wife to be careful what she does on social media after she liked a pro trump post on Instagram.

It was obviously a veiled threat, so I sent her all kinds of different smoked meats in the mail.

She’s vegan.
