Is This Some BS Charge Cox Mailed Me?

A few weeks ago I cancelled my Cox account after getting DTV/AT&T. When I cancelled I had to pay $246 and some change.
Today I get a bill with a charge of $120.06. It says "New Charges Sept 1, 2018 - Sept 31, 2018"
Next line it says "One time charges and credits $122.00
Then says if paid before September 21, 2018 $120.06.
What is this shite? I cancelled my account in late August. Why would I have charges that are associated with September?
It's a rowdy Friday night for me, I am going through bills...

I never was able to get my final bill straight with them after I switched service. Never paid it either. Sucked having something in collections for a few years but my credit was otherwise flawless and it's not as if I didn't try several times to get it resolved. They though they could just make me hold until they closed and still expected to get money from me. Sad!

Cox Representative Tyga Woods is currently online.
I’m sorry you are having trouble with your Cox account. If you give me your account number, social security number, and mother’s maiden name, I will gladly help you.

Who knows?
I canceled an ATT cell line Inhad for 15 years.
After a few weeks I called them and asked if I owed them anything at all. Guy said no.
Got an email that I owe $67 for something. They've disabled my account so i cant pay online, f these companies.

That’s typical Cox no Vaseline horseshite. They tried frickin’ me the same way when I cancelled the bundle and it took me going into my local Cox store and asking to talk to the asswipe in charge to get most of it credited back. They do it as a parting “in your face” gesture because they know they can get away with it about 80% of the time. Bust up in the Cox store and make a scene. I guarantee you it’ll be handled quick.

When I got my first cell phone I was on my parents plan. When I switched it to my name I paid the rest of that month's bill then went on to pay mine. 12 years later my mom starts getting collections calls saying she owes at&t $77 dollars for my number. We wound up just paying it but they could never provide any documentation that we owed that.

I just don't understand why they wouldn't just add this to the final bill. When I called to close my account, I paid what I owed and I asked the guy if that was the only charges and he told me yes. He didn't mention anything about receiving another bill for something else, etc.
I might start just sending invoices out to companies with bullshite charges.
Continuing to operate as a business fee............................. $148.45

I am thinking about this whole just sending bills out to businesses thing. I can register as a LLC and just start sending out invoices from my business, with bullshite charges. Not so much for the money... but just to make a point. With all the bullshite charges companies add, I will just be a company that doesn't provide anything, I just make up charges and bill people.

If the extra charges were legitimate they should have been explained. If they genuinely made an error, that should have also been explained. Either way it was not handled professionally. This, among other things, is why so many people don’t like Cox and think they’re out to screw people. The sad part is that the shitty way they’ve handled me has made any future business relationship impossible.

A call to the Public Service Commission would have fixed that with the quickness. They would either have found what the charge was for or they would have let it drop. I worked in telco for a few years, they absolutely will not dick around with someone once the PSC gets involved.
Back when dialup was still a thing I was dialing into a pop in Jena since my plan covered all of 318 as local. The number was a CTEL number and I had ATT phone service. At some point CTEL and ATT got pissy with each other so ATT removed all the CTEL pops from their local calling. They sent a flier with that month's bill but I was an early adopter of paperless billing so I was never actually notified of the change (never got an email).
Because of all this I inadvertently ran up a $400 phone bill that month. I called, spoke to a supervisor, they had someone from Billing call and the most they would do was credit me $25 bucks. In the meantime I had some checks bounce because I wasn't expecting that big a phone bill ($25 per check).
I called the PSC, explained my case and within 24 hours ATT called me back to tell me they would be reversing all the charges and that if I sent them a copy of my bank statement showing the overdraft charges they caused then they would credit my account for that amount (which they did end up doing).
