I paid a little less than that for an in ground in the garage shelter when I lived in Edmond Oklahoma. I remember driving through an area that had been hit by the El Reno #1 F5 tornado. At one house the only thing recognizable was the shelter. It depends on how much you want to survive a tornado I guess. It's probably a little high. Not sure where you live. I'd get a compact underground shelter.

No way your fat arse is fitting in there.

But to answer your question, yes it’s a steal. Get two if available.

How does it work?

You sink it into the ground and hope the top stays on and your don’t get sucked out.

If you bought one in Louisiana and needed it for a storm, you would drown like a rat. Or it would be a snake pit.

It is stays above ground could you just be lifted up like a rocket and then flown across the rainbow into Oz.

Just ask to be buried in it when you die so you can save on the cost of a casket.

OP does that one bolt down to your slab or go underground? I looked at one similar to your picture when I lived in Oklahoma. It was an above ground one installed in a persons garage that was advertised to withstand 300 MPH wind or something crazy like that. In Moore and Joplin I saw homes that the tornado took the home and slab. I ultimately went with one that went underground out in the backyard but it was much bigger. Now my biggest fear is something land on my door and I can’t get out. The price is good compared to what I paid.

Can you get one with windows to shoot a bow out of? So I can use it in deer season.

No need to anchor it down, either.

How many people can fit in that? Since the size of a pallet, I’d guess 3 normal size people
