Is there something wrong with my hands?

This happens to me more often than not. When I go to use an automatic sink with a sensor or an automatic paper towel dispenser it take a good 10 seconds for them to pick up my motion. Can you be too white to use these?

You have AIDS. And probably Covid.

ETA - more seriously, you may have Raynaud's syndrome. It cools your hands and makes them more difficult to detect. Also turns them red sometimes.

I've seen a few studies that crusted semen can cause a delay in motion activated hand sensors.
