Got a Navy Bud from Sparta, that place is the shite, nothing like Newark, Hoboken, or Kearny.

MTV notwithstanding, the Jersey Shore hass some great beaches. Western NJ is rustic mountains and has a section of the Appalachian Trail. You should get out and see some of it.

My wife is from Indianapolis so I've visited many times. I see you're from there so I don't want to be insulting. I'll just say I'm not a fan and spare you from my list of complaints.

I travel as part of my job once a week, between small towns and big towns and I have never seen somewhere as irredeemable as the Newark area. I love Manhatten, and it's 15 miles away so it's not like I hate everything north of the Mason Dixon line.

Isnt that like having to work in Lake Charles or Shreveport and then declaring the entire state of Louisiana is terrible? Smart.
NJ has some beautiful areas.
(The parts right outside NYC are pretty horrible, though)

Indiana is pretty bad. Definitely the worst state in the Midwest. It's the worst state in terms of aesthetics IMO.
