There was this old fricker in the doctors office sitting two chairs down from me the other day. He used Siri to dial the number then had it on speaker phone, annoying as frick. Then he was pissed because they would turn the TV off of Fox News so he put CNN on his phone. I

I also hate it, but I've been forced to partake in this abominable act because the voice speaker on my phone broke and the only way people can hear me is through speaker phone.
I try not to do it in public places but sometimes I have to. I'm ashamed.

Yes. FaceTime. Worked with someone who would do this with her kids in her cubicle. Drove me fricking insane.

I think it because of a design defect. Those phones are usually boost mobile pre-paid devices and must not work properly unless on speaker.

How about someone who puts it on speaker in the public bathroom. Has happened multiple times, even happened last night.

office bathroom is on the other side of my office wall. one certain unamed sits in there for 30 minutes talking on a bluetooth headset so loud, the whole office can hear him.

Cell phones have created a large population of rude and selfish users.
Go to a convenience store - clerk is looking at her cell phone.
People talking in a restaurant on their cell phone.
People using cell phone in public on a speaker.
People using ear buds (or whatever) but talking loudly into their cell phone (if you can't see the buds, you think they are schizo).
Runner delivers legal papers to my office this a.m. She was on her cell phone the entire time.
