Not me. I'm in a work seminar at a hotel and the next conference room over is having a presentation. Every time i walk out of our room there's people in the waiting area filling out papers. I feel sorry for em.

Right before Katrina, my wife dragged me to one of those BS shite shows for the free airline tickets. They set things up just like a casino with plants in the room who sign up and they are announced as new owners.
They started at 20K for two weeks at a place that was deeded in Orlando. I got them down to 8K, for fun, and then declined. The gauntlet you have to go through to get the airline tickets and for them to let you out is incredible and hard to continually say no to.
The only thing that got me out of there was that I knew someone in the gauntlet that called off the dogs and let me out. 90 minutes turned into 3 hours. I was not happy with my wife but she wanted the tickets to give to my MIL so she could fly in to visit us.
They make people feel like big shots, just like casinos do, and that's why they buy. They also sell note and never talk about the annual fees.

I dunno. I bought ours for 100 bucks. Just pay the cleaning fee yearly and stay on the beach for very little money

Cancun timeshare presentations are awesome. Open bar with premium liquors. Got so wasted didn't even care how long it took.
Got a bunch a free stuff and called it a win. Just said no about 6 million times.
Would do it again just to study their techniques.

I have friends that have done it and it's a good deal for them. They get 3-4 trips per year at a low overall rate. They're late-20s to early 30s with decent jobs and no kids or plans to have them.
Also know others that were suckered in mad never got their money's worth.

My dad bought his in the 90s and we have gone on great vacations with it. My sister and her husband went to Hawaii, my wife and I used it in St Lucia and St maarten and my parents are in California wine country right now. He only pays about $500 annually in fees. I think as long as you trade it in (theirs is in Orlando) for nicer places and use it regularly, it isn't a horrible deal especially when you are young enough to use it for 30 years. I wouldnt buy it but I also know that I wouldn't have gone to the carribean twice before I was 24 without it.

That's key. People are always looking to unload their timeshares for next to nothing just to get rid of the fees because they don't use their weeks or whatever.
If you can find a situation like that and then trade your week for a decent location, I'd imagine it'd be well worth the cost.

Advocare is basically a bunch of mediocre products with ridiculous prices, marketed well & sold by jackasses that don't know what a macronutrient is. And it's not "new". Advocare has been around since the 90s. The reason it's so popular is because they decided to go balls out in marketing

My experience has been same as lsulaker. Dad bought it and we all (4 kids) use it. Going to Orlando in july for seven days. My cost is $50/night. Idk what dad pays per year but he just spent 3 weeks in Sedona area.
