My little league team had wooden bats. I used a Jackie Robinson signed Louisville Slugger, one of the team bats, because it had a thick grip and a nice taper. It felt so solid. And, if we cracked one, it was nailed and taped to be reused. Hell, it was $3-$5 bucks for a new one.

Was anyone here at traction this past weekend? My first time being at the facility after hearing a lot about it on here. Very nice facility, huge and spread out and fields are mostly in great shape. I was shocked at the lack of permanent shade structures in a park in South La which holds that many people. It was a scorcher with all the concrete and turf and if you wanted hot dog or hamburger you had to walk a mile to the only concession stand that had more than candy and water.

Overall good spot. I heard some of the locals saying they really don't enjoy playing there.

I didn't notice any but it's a huge venue and I didn't cover the whole park. All I saw were baseball fields

I’m surprised an IMG style ‘school’ hasn’t been opened up down here. Would kill it.

No. My son did flag football there and they laid down out of bounds lines in the outfield. Used some sort of nylon/synthetic ribbon that was anchored into the ground.

Cool little set up

Well I’ll be. It looks like there is a football field labeled “M” on the Burbank side (right side of picture)

that's more like just an open grass area. the football field i'm discussing is across the street by 11 and 12 markers. It's in the ghetto area outside of the traction park.

Just go with whatever bat looks cool at Play it Again. The results will be the same.

Does traction actually own anything across that street?

Lol that's not really a football field. We were playing on L field all day Sunday so right next to M which just a big grass area. No goalposts or anything.

Explains why I don’t see kicking camps there.

Yes I'm one of the coaches. We are off this weekend. Playing somewhere the following week in the Houston area.

Was great competition this weekend in our division. As expected
