Is there a saliva Covid test in Baton Rouge?

My grandma had a heart attack a few days ago and my mom wants to go see her and the family. Costa Rica makes everybody do a Covid test before entering the country. She is terrified to do the nose swab and is that the only option right now or is there a saliva test you can do in Baton Rouge?

There are COVID tests with nasal swabs that isn't the one that goes to nearly your brain.
It's a simple swab of both your nares (doesn't go too deep).
They are as accurate as the brain scrapers. And less traumatic.
ETA: To clarify....NP or nasopharyngeal swabs are the brain scrapers
Nasal swabs are just the regular swabs I mentioned.

Covid tests have gotten a lot better past month. Had 9 so far and last two the swab goes in a little and you blow out same time.

I've had 2 covid tests and both times they swabbed both nostrils but it wasn't bad at all. Like 4-5 seconds in each nostril and they only went about as far up as you could go with your finger when picking your nose.

I had 3 last week and none were bad.
Too rapids were both nostrils (not deep) and the PCR was a throat swab (like strep)

I’ve been tested twice before and that shite is 100% miserable and uncalled for.

Thankfully we've come a long way in testing since this first started.
I don't even think we use the NP swabs anymore at my hospital. All our PCR and rapid tests are the regular nasal swabs.
We have to swab every inpatient psych patient admitted to our hospitals. Can only imagine those poor nurses trying to do a deep NP swab on someone having a serious mental break from reality.

My first was at BR General mid city way back in mid March and my second was at st. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales about a month ago. They both tickled my brain and were miserable. If the testing methods have improved, St. Elizabeth in Gonzales is behind the times. Pretty sure the mfer there in charge of swabbing enjoys doing what he does.

COVID is a deadly virus that is so highly contagious that we have to wear masks everywhere we go and limit capacity in all businesses, yet you have to shove a q-tip deep into your nasal cavity to get a positive test for it.

I've had 7 of them and they were very uncomfortable. I had the ones that felt like the back of my eyeballs were being stabbed. These are for work and they don't allow the mouth swab because it takes 3 days to get results and they aren't as accurate (so they say).

It’s really not that bad. She’s been though much worse in her life. I can promise. Anyone that can endure birthing a child shouldn’t be worried about a little Qtip up the nose.

There are case reports of people sticking the qtip so far up your nose it fractures the thin bone before your brain and spinal fluid starts leaking out.... I’m not kidding

Ive performed hundreds of these tests. If you meet any resistance, withdraw the swab and try the other nare. Whoever did this did not have a clue as to what they were doing.

Lake after hours on Perkins by Siegen(Ymca Plaza is the street name) does the nasal test that goes no where up your nose. They barely touch the inside of each nostril.
I had it done and actually asked "that's it?". And I was positive for covid. So it works and is harmless.

Nose swap is most accurate. Saliva test will give a higher chance for false positive or false negative
