I thought we were no longer dependent on foreign alll...drill baby drill and all dat????
If we are not dependent on foreign all then why do the prices go up when foreign oil gets blowed up

Because Obama allowed our oil to be sold on a world market. And China will come and buy our oil.

Something is going on. It went up over $4 here in NC today and I still seen several old timers filling up quite a few of their extra gas containers.

We are not dependent on foreign oil. But the world market is a major factor in the price. I know it's stupid but...

Where did you get this idea? The US is absolutely dependent on foreign oil. We import over 6.5 million barrels a day due to refining imbalances. If you cut that oil import off the price of gas and diesel would skyrocket because it is such an inelastic product.
