I know you said badarse, but this is the most dumbarse moment in game show history
Deal or No Deal
Make sure you watch, it's one minute but here are the cliffs:
- It's a special deal or no deal edition, there are multiple Million dollar cases available
- Down to three cases left ($1, $1 mil, $1 mil), offer is 600k+, guy turns it down. as most would. No problem.
- Opens next case, it's one of the $1 mil cases. Down to two cases the $1 and a $1 mil case. Offer is 400k+. Guy turns it down. You can guess what happened

It was well after ‘92 and it was kind of a big deal back then.

He studied the show and got very good at guessing the prices.
Actually there is a documentary on this where he had help from the audience. Another guy memorized everything and he happened to friend him in line.

It was 2000 and all of us who watched it live (way before DVRs) talked about it at work for days. It was one of those things you will always remember if you did watch it live. I remember without watching it too because it was the summer show along with Survivor that captured summer audiences back then.

66% chance of winning $1 mil in that scenario. He played the odds and lost, not sure how you can call him a dumbass.

To be fair, if he didn’t read the post and just watched the video, it skips from the guy having three cases left to him opening the case.

Also, perfect showcase bidder . They knew he had "cheated," hence Drew Careys reaction
Watch “perfect bid” on Netflix. It shows that there is a guy in the audience sitting next to the contestant’s wife who had spent his life memorizing prices. He fed the info to the contestant.
