True, but many homes in that area (Bocage, Steele, Goodwood) look awesome, and are really nice homes, but not $1M. Closer to the $500,000 end. Now in Houston, that house would go for $1M.

When Baton Rouge has absolutely nothing to do,causing folks to spend less....why not spend every dollar you have on a a house?

Many of those are in CCLA and off Highland, where of course they're going to be up there around $1M+. I get your point though, maybe there are too many.

the only house that compares to nice houses in houston is Pennington
That's pretty dumb to say. I don't even know where you'd find a neighborhood full of Pennington style villas in houston

Good way to make yourself feel pretty poor is to drive down there and gaze at some of the houses out there.

That bathroom looks like it would be cold as shite on a cold morning. Don't no why all that extra floor space is needed/desired.

All these million dollar plus houses in town. Who is going to buy them? There aren't that many physicians around to snap them all up. This isn't Houston where we have loads of wealth coming into town daily. It'll be interesting to watch. A number of these homes have been on the market for years.
I often wonder this too.

quote:True - Ted Beneke style. Still, you need something to heat-up the rest of you while you dry off. I'm sure there are heaters, but they'd need to be awfully powerful (which I'm sure they are).
