The main code seems to be “Don’t bring anything home with you.”
That covers the gamut from “Don’t frick her in the marital bed” to “Don’t frick a chick with crabs / warts / whatever and then spread it to your wife”.

Cheating is bad business... never ends well & even when you think it does, and all is hidden.. it affects the relationship and the person doing it. I know. From extensive experience. I've done some low down horrible things in past.
But.... if a man is crossing that line, its crossed. Not sure there are differing degrees.

I'll try to give an actual answer instead of taking the moral high ground. I have no morals or values, so this should be easy.
When cheating on your wife, the line has been crossed when you've created an emotional or physical relationship with another person (I would say another woman, but I'm from California, so who knows).
Once you've broken that threshold, the whole "I won't do it in our bed" is just the cheating person trying to save themselves what little self-respect they have left. "I may be a piece of shite, but I'm not THAT big of a piece of shite!"
Also it's bullshite, because the bed you share is in the house you share..so that is ground zero for getting caught. So you're making the wise decision of not shitting in your own sandbox, but dressing it up as "I couldn't denigrate our own bed like that!"
