I've been on the road recently quite a bit and have found the Waze App invaluable. If you spend time on the road and don't have it, you should get it or the equivalent.

The clock app is the most useful.

Underrated...

I live in a rice field now so Waze is useless.

When I go back to BR for things you'd better believe Im using it.

Don't feel like doing research, at least post a link to some information about the app.

Ya, if it's over 5 to 10 minutes away where there is a possibility of me having to use a different route because something happened then I have it on.

Waze has saved me hours upon hours of sitting in traffic. Very useful.

I use the planned drive feature on Waze all the time. You tell it where you're going at what day/time and it tells you based on traffic patterns that day what time you should leave.

I use Google Maps...which uses Waze. I don't like Waze's graphics.

i have 2 major interstates and a 2 lane road that all take me to my house in roughly 40-50 minutes.

the 2 lane road is 19 miles
I65 is 24 miles
I40 is 28 miles

i fire up wave before i leave the office each day because any of those 3 could be F U C K E D and waze lets me know before i get in the car.

i40 even though the longest mile-wise is fastest 75% of the time due to traffic.

you are not very smart. google maps ***INCORPORATES*** some of the waze data in google maps but google maps isn't remotely as accurate at getting you around traffic and the delay getting reports from waze can mean the difference between avoiding gridlock and getting stuck in traffic.

not even close.

eta google owns both so eventually they'll probably kill waze but right now waze is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better for managing a commute with traffic.

This and this.

I've never encountered unexpected traffic with Google, so it works just fine.
