Pretty much. I spent a good bit of time there the last couple years before it started “renovations”. That crowd mostly goes to Southside Arts Center, Mid City Ballroom, and Dead Poet now

Loved that place.
Saw del the funky homosapien, eye hate god, afroman. Missed a few shows like kool Keith and Wesley Willis.

I go to a lot of shows there since I live fairly close, but it’s a dump, and the A/C there might as well not exist in the summer time. It gets suffocatingly hot there for shows in the warm weather months. Looking forward to fall making shows there more bearable. I like hitting up Pussy Sad Sad Night as well as the random small-time touring groups going through there.

Plus, it’s the center of the BR mopevvave scene.

I saw the Melvins, Trail of Dead, Fishbone, Wesley Willis, Supersuckers.. So many good ones.
