What are they asking for? I’ve heard they’re wanting something like a 75% pay raise. Is that true?

Why would we be with a bunch of lazy bums who would rather watch the country burn than do the job they signed up to do

Unions kinda f up free markets. I hope they figure out a way to open the ports without them and get rid of the union

If extortion and mafia tactics are part of the free market then I can tell you which side you favor.

They want a $5 an hour raise every year for 6 years, taking pay up from $39/hour to $69/hr.

77% raise for Covid reparations.

Raises they are asking for are 10% per year.

Obviously very high but that’s how negotiations work.

I’m not against people trying to make as much money as possible. It’s a free market after all.

What I am against is holding the economy hostage & hurting your fellow citizens by using the technically arbitrary, undeserved, politically connected power of a union to meet those goals.

My 350 cents. We left 2 cents behind several decades of political corruption ago.

I've spent most of my working life automating companies and processes, I've never had a controller or drive go on strike. I've had them get sick once or twice but never struck or asked for more money.

They want English-style featherbedding, where automation cannot cause anyone to lose their job

Which helped destroy the UK economy

A bunch of middle aged numb nuts. The Union President thinks he's Archie Bunker. Love to know the % of their rank and file that didn't graduate from high school.

Definitely against their union, didn't take long to despise the union boss/CEO.

As for the workers, they had a voice. They voted against the 50% raise over 6 years with no guarantees against automation. So it is really on them... so frick them.

Replace them with scabs and Elon/Amazon technology in right-to-work states and with the national guard in closed shop states.

Let them swallow that -100% raise over 5 minutes.
