Every state has trashy areas. Don't let any state say they don't. I've been thru many states that looks trashy.

Golden triangle was a great place back in 50s and 60s. Then things turned to trash. Most people now moved outside that area. Back in the 70s, Orange, Port Arthur, and surrounding area tried to get Texas to let them become part of Louisiana instead. Lots of Cajuns in that area because of jobs in the Refineries.

On a trip to Alaska one of my traveling companions observed that if not for the scenery it might as well be Bawcomville.
