Have her also try the S&W Shield EZ 9mm. They have a lighter spring and are easier to rack for women.

Sig P238 Sport with rubberized grip

Hornady or Sig Sauer 90 grain self defense ammo

Best conceal carry pistol out there for women...accurate compact, trustworthy and a safety.

FWIW it seems women damn near universally prefer gripping the M&P line of pistols vs. Glocks.

Not knocking the M&P, but this is a pretty bold statement. I'd love to see your data on this.

Having both the 43 and 43X they are basically the same except that the 43X has a slightly longer grip. So it really just depends on how big of a hand she has.

That said, the comfort of the weapon in the hand of the shooter can affect shooting ability. I'd suggest taking her to a range and letting her shoot both and let her select. Don't dismiss the Hellcat as an option if you're going to let her try out a few.

I can't hit jack shite with a little plastic 9mm like that, but a lot of people like them.

If in a self defense situation the target is far enough away that you can draw out a pistol get in a proper stance, linie up the sights on the target and then fire your concern should be how good of a lawyer you have, not the accuracy of the weapon.
