No he’s not at the perfect height to see the entire ship, that’s what he calculates in his reply. He doesn’t know the exact distance to the second ship, so he shows how high he would’ve had to go above sea level to see objects at various distances.
Also, if he were to move away from the second ship, it would “go down again”. You’re almost there buddy.

Why did you say woof?
Do you not realize the whole argument of the Coriolis effect posits a tangible effect of the spin of earth?
Or
Do you not realize that on a sphere an equatorial spot has to cover many more times the distance than an axial spot to complete a rotation, and thus the equator spins much faster?

I can't help what people do in real life and that you can't see it over the internet. Look at all the bad faith arguments. That is the pratfall of the medium

yeah I’ll admit Gaggle had me going but he’s definitely just trolling

I applaud everyone for keeping this going lol

How do you define the horizon? If everything was flat, the horizon would be the edge of the disk planet?
Posted on 4/11/22 at 9:51 pm to threeputtforbogie
The flat line at the end of our field of view of a vast plane. It never changes.

I just showed you an example that it does change.

It was a legitimately funny thing for your trolling arse to say. Take the win and dont push it.

Look at all the arguments torn to pieces. Eclipses, done. Phases of Venus, done. Coriolis effect, done. Ships disappearing over the horizons, done. Seeing the curvature from up high, done. Radar limited distance, done. NASA photos, done. And we just keep coming back with more and more arguments and somehow calling me a crazy idiot. Could any of you argue these points? Obviously not, you bought them in the first place. Meanwhile I keep saying for people to look into it themselves.
Tell me who has honestly argued in better faith

YouTube has made me a believer by putting a disinformation tag on this video.
quote:Those flights are obviously cherry-picked to find layovers that align with the flat earther map. There's a reason they chose Johannesburg to Perth instead of Johannesburg to Sydney. It's because there are direct flights to Sydney which follow the expected shortest path. This is an economic issue, not evidence for a flat earth.
Got curious about flight paths and found this.
Similarly with the Santiago to Sydney flight which detours through LA. When you go the other way from Sydney to Santiago you can take a non-stop flight with a time close to the assumed direct path time.
Don't let these numbskulls fool you.

I'm literally having to explain what you see with your own eyes. The bottom of the ship is distorted, it is a refracted image that garbles the picture. It is NOT dipped below the water, there are in fact parts where you can see "ship" as if it's floating in air and "holes" through the ship. It's a distorted image, not an obscured one.
The mast and top of the upper cabin are at the same height off the water
Look with your own damn eyes and see. From your link!

There is not a real Coriolis effect in snipers. Snipers don't use it. If you're using it in shooting you're a moron.
Snipers do use it. Go to any long-range shooting forum and ask if Coriolis is important, nobody will tell you it isn't especially past 400m.
Here are screen shots of the Lapua ballistics app:
Notice how it uses your latitude and direction of fire to calculate the Coriolis offset. Any 1000m F-Class shooter that doesn't account for Coriolis either by calculation or on site siting will get laughed off the range because their groups are going to be inches off at least shooting within the US.
