is subway the only restaurant that doesn't put out napkins anywhere in their restaurants?

Is it just me, or is subway the only restaurant that doesn't put out napkins anywhere in their restaurants? The ketchup thread reminded me that I though of this the other day. They put 2 or 3 in your little bag, but there are no others anywhere in any subway I've ever been in. Is this some secret money saving solution for Subway? Sometimes my sandwich artist get's a little to liberal with the mayo and mustard and I need napkins!

I guess I go to the only subways that have napkins by the register and drink station

Now you got a point here. Subway and their napkin policy is absurd. It's exponentially fricked up if you have kids with you.

It's stupid, but it's something I've noticed recently. There's a subway next to my office I eat at a lot. And a few near my house. Every single one has no napkins available. I started paying attention and noticed it at pretty much all of them.
I worked at a takeout place in college and the owner would get pissy if you put more than 2 ketchups per order of fries unless the asked for more. Always thought it was really tightwad of him. I figured they were doing the same with napkins, which just seems absurd.

I was a sandwich artist for my first job as a 16 year old. If I remember correctly, they told us to give 1 napkin for a 6" and 2 for a footlong. They were stingy AF. The owner would always fuss at me for giving more than 3 vegetable pieces too.

The Subway in LaPlace is legit. Must be b/c they're all franchised out as low as 1 store per owner. Some are much nicer than others.

One more reason to stay away from that garbage.
1. Was for a long time represented by a child molester
2. Is now a standard part of Walmart

You need more than two or three napkins to eat a sandwich?
I will watch people at some of these fast food restaurants pick up a stack of napkins, 20 or 30 of them. WTF

Anything with sweet onion sauce should get 4 napkins minimum

I remember when Subway was decent.

You need as many napkins as you need, particularly if you order a meatball sub. Those things are the messiest thing you can get anywhere outside of boiled crawfish.

Can confirm.
Also got in trouble once for giving my buddy 2 extra meat balls on a sub before.
Owner was watching the cameras from his house at the time.
I'm sure other places do it too, but like once or twice a month, someone from corporate would come in disguised and test you. You wouldn't know unless someone told you or you did something wrong.
whenever I worked the same shift as my manager, I'd do everything by the book and people would give me weird looks like "That's all the meat/vegetables I get..?"

If a busy fast food restaurant gave away an extra pack of ketchup to every customer, it would waste almost a case a day. Given that a case of the dip ketchup costs about $30 bucks, that would add up to over 10k in a year. If you were a business owner you wouldn't feel the same way
