No I haven. Looks really nice but I hear it's not very kid friendly. Think ages 4 - 8.

How can you say watercolor isn't kid friendly? Every single time I go that's all I see. Young families and older couples thrive in watercolor, along with the occasional NFL head coach and MLB players.

You will find nothing but kid friendly activities there.

Who told you it wasn't kid friendly?

A couple who went there without their kids because they wanted to Get away. I stand totally corrected. Heck this seems kind of amazing.

Stayed in Sandestin a few times and also in Baytowne and really liked it each time. Got a place booked on Portofino in July. Has anyone ever been? Seems really kid friendly, I got the bands for the water park in the bay all week.

Whatever rental price you see in Florida you need to add about 25% for taxes and Watercolor hits you another $500-$750 fee for the week.

Baytowne Wharf is not even close to the best. Watercolor, Seaside, Rosemary Beach, etc are all better choices.

This is why they complained.

I don't really view Sunspree as competition for Sandestin.

Portofino is great, you will love it I'm sure.

Anyone have a place in Kiva Dunes? I love that golf course an it is very close to Louisiana. I saw it has a nice private beach area, pool and hot tub. Wouldn't be too shabby to own a place there with a golf cart that you could take to the beach.

Watercolor is very kid friendly but prepare your anus for the bill if you are going for a week in the Summer.

My sister and BIL have a house there. It is pretty steep to rent that fricking place. They stay for a month from mid July to mid August and a few other weeks during the year.

Yes. I don't like fake worlds, but that place is pretty set up. My favorite part is that you never have to deal with the horrid traffic. Places to eat, nice grocery store, dry cleaning, shopping, movie theater, tunnel access to the beach...it has it all.

I'm seeing posters talk about watercolor. It's nicer than sanddestin, by far. But, it's not a resort so to speak, like the OP wanted to know about.
